Bio(Experience)
Bruce May is a recognized expert in digital media, focusing on the business aspects of broadband media solutions. Bruce has been on the cutting edge of digital media since its inception. He began his media career in video production writing and producing marketing videos and creating corporate training content in the Houston market throughout the 1990’s. As multimedia evolved in the early nineties, Bruce became adept at using early tools and solutions, often integrating these with video centric production projects.
As a business consultant, Bruce has helped clients better understand the digital media ecosystem, develop business strategies to monetize content, manage broadband costs, develop digital marketing plans, and improve their overall business strategies and approaches to digital media. In 2008 Bruce founded Trelios Digital Media to leverage his relationships in the broadband media industry. Trelios Digital Media offers the combined talent and services of leading edge solution providers through an alliance partnership of service providers working in digital media.
Bruce works on high end digital media solutions and web portals, often teaming up with Trelios Alliance Partners and solution providers that have special capabilities or skills in cutting edge digital media solutions. Bruce along with four other principals founded The Expert Knowledge Network in 2008, bringing together a group of enterprise level business consultants and subject matter experts (including over 65 Ph.D.’s) using digital media to transform how business expertise is created and delivered in the marketplace. Bruce has established key partnerships with major players in digital media for The Exert Knowledge Network, including Lulu.com, the leading provider of on-demand publishing solutions; and MicroTek, providing best of breed services in online/location based blended solutions in distance learning and conferencing solutions.
Bruce has written three books, including The Eighth Criteria: Market Focus, 2011; Building a Performance Improvement System, 2009 (co-authored with Richard Laramy); and Marketing Fundamentals, 2008 He is currently working on his fourth book, Survival in the Digital Media Jungle (early 2012).
Bruce graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston with a BS in Biology (1980). Bruce also has taken numerous legal courses (from Texas College of Law) that support his business knowledge. His training background includes certification by the American Society of Training and Development (University of Oklahoma, 2001).
Bruce May is CEO of The Expert Knowledge Network and works in the Digital Media industry as the founder and member of Trelios Alliance Partner Network.
